Die drei Ebenen aus wilden Tonschlickern und Shino – Land, Meer und Himmel – verschmelzen fließend um das Gefäß. Der herabrinnende Ton hat eine dicke Kruste gebildet, die an zerklüftete Felsen oder ein Gebirge erinnert./Three layers of wild clay slips and Shino—Land, Sea, and Sky—merge fluidly around the vessel. The cascading clay has formed a thick crust, reminiscent of rugged rocks or a mountain range.

Diese handgeformte Schale wurde der Flamme extrem ausgesetzt, hier verschmelzen eine besondere Erde aus Griechenland mit Shino. Ein Handschmeichler./This hand-formed bowl was exposed to extreme flame, where a special clay from Greece merges with Shino. A true pleasure to hold.

Multibowl wurde gedreht und nachträglich bearbeitet, in den einzelnen Schichten finden sich verschiedene Aschen und lokale wilde Tone, stellenweise auch etwas Shino./The Multibowl was turned and post-processed; the individual layers contain various ashes and local wild clays, with some Shino in places.

Wunderbar, wie hier der wilde laufende Ton an den Kanten zum Stillstand kam. Die Shino spannt sich wie ein Netz an manchen Stellen./Wonderful, how the wild, flowing clay body came to a standstill here at the edges. The Shino stretches like a net in some places.

Stranger Things

Für Stanger Things verwendeten wir lokalen wilden Lehmton der als Schlick aufgetragen wurde. Bei sehr hohen Temperaturen schmilzt dieser besondere Ton schwarz aus, entwickelt  blau - weiße Kaskaden, die wie kleine Bäche an der Vase herabfließen./ For Stranger Things, we used local wild clay which was applied as a slip. At very high temperatures, this special clay melts into a glossy black, developing blue and white cascades that flow down the vase like little streams.

68h stand diese Kanne direkt in den Flammen, fast wie eingerahmt bilden sich hier aus wilden griechischen Tonen und Shino Zeichnungen eines Art Manga Waldes./For 68 hours this pot stood directly in the flames; almost as if framed, drawings of a kind of manga forest form here from wild Greek clays and Shino glazes.
